After four months of close collaboration on joint pilot projects, FASTTRACK Batch 2 program, seven startups and their partners from Hirschvogel, HOERBIGER and Max Aicher presented their project results on Demo Day, May 21, 2019 at the Industrial Makerspace in Landsberg am Lech.
This time, a project team rather than a single founder presented the major project findings. Business unit representatives lined out the status quo as well es the project motivation, followed by the founder(s) depicting the major project challenges that came up and had to be tackled together. Wrapping up, the founders lined out their lessons learned and implications on the further technology development.
Additionally they formed a Call-To-Action and made their needs in a future collaboration with one or multiple FASTTRACK partners transparent.
Furthermore the startups gave live demos of their technologies at the provided marketplace booths. KOMP-ACT exhibited their latest generation of electric actuators, IMSystems demonstrated the functionality of its Archimedes Drive, Locomotec had its autonomous transportation robot move around, InLable displayed variations of laser labels including the processing system. A great opportunity for all to discuss the results and potential applications.
Once again it was great to see, how a dynamic of its own unfolds once the stage is set. 7 startups have been part of this intense and very knowledgeable Batch 2, working on a total of 8 pilot projects. 7 out of 8 projects (that’s a whopping 88%) won’t be terminated at Demo Day, but will be taken to the next level. Our partners will sit down and discuss appropriate next steps together with the startups, looking to create win-win scenarios for both parties. From customer-supplier relationship via joint product development to equity invest – everything is possible. Our mission is once again complete.
After the match is the before the match – FASTTRACK Batch 3 is all set for the next round of applications. Applications may be submitted until September 8, 2019.
